WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar, SmackDown Spoilers and Wednesday's Top WWE News
Usually, after WrestleMania, there is a lull with the WWE creative team. It's only natural, because all of their energy has been focused on that one show for so long that you fall into a holding pattern after it is over.
That is not the case this year, as WWE is trying to make sure that the positive momentum keeps flowing with the return of Brock Lesnar and his feud with John Cena. It will be interesting to see how that plays out right now and in the future.
For now, we will speculate about that and everything else going on behind the scenes in WWE.

BROCK LESNAR GETTING IN JOHN CENA'S HEAD
John Cena just had one of the least successful two-day stretches in his career. First, losing to The Rock at WrestleMania. Then, being attacked by Brock Lesnar on Raw. Don't tell Cena that, because he is still keeping his head held high.
"This has never meant more than it does right now #riseabovehate #nevergiveup
— John Cena (@JohnCena) April 3, 2012"
Question on Everybody's Mind: Where do Cena and Lesnar go from here?
Our Take: There is a lot of explaining that has to be done, especially next week on Raw. It will be interesting to see if WWE puts this match on Extreme Rules or holds it off until SummerSlam. It would be difficult to sell the idea of waiting four months to do it, but who knows what WWE has in mind.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Post-WrestleMania Rivalries
Lesnar and Cena is certainly a WrestleMania-caliber rivalry. The fact that it has started right after WrestleMania, and Lesnar is being signed to a one-year contract, opens up a lot of possibilities for what could happen.

BATISTA DOING SOMETHING VERY SOON
In a very vague tweet, Batista told the world that something was going to be happening with him very soon. There is nothing quite like an announcement from a manager to get the masses speculating.
"Follow my manager @JohnnyRyanJr he's going to be making some announcements about me VERY soon. #staytuned any guesses?!?!
— Dave Bautista (@DaveBautista) April 3, 2012"
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Batista coming back, too?
Our Take: There was talk that Batista was in Miami over the weekend, although that could just have been to watch WrestleMania. He has been doing some acting in low-budget, straight-to-DVD movies, so he might need something to do.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Batista Bombs
WWE seems to be obsessed with bringing old stars back right now to mask its roster problems. Brock Lesnar was just the tip of the iceberg, and Batista might not be too far behind.

EVAN BOURNE'S CAREER IN JEOPARDY?
Just when you thought Bourne's luck couldn't get any worse, there is a new report that says his foot injury could end up being career threatening.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Bourne really in trouble?
Our Take: Not being a doctor, it is difficult to say. Even if Bourne was the picture of health, his status as a WWE performer would likely still be in doubt because of the fact he has two strikes against him.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Untimely Injuries
Whenever you hear the words "career threatening," your ears immediately perk up. To his credit, Bourne has not said anything one way or another. It would be a shame to see him taken out in his prime, if it does end up being a major problem.

****WARNING****
THE FOLLOWING SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THIS WEEK'S SMACKDOWN. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, SKIP AHEAD.

ALBERTO DEL RIO GETS A CHEAP WIN OVER SHEAMUS
Del Rio's return to WWE was interesting because he was thrown right into a match on SmackDown with the World Champion in order to earn a title shot. He earned a victory, but used the Eddie Guerrero tactic of trying to use a chair, giving it to Sheamus and then falling down so the referee, who was distracted, would disqualify him.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Where does this feud go from here?
Our Take: These are the kinds of finishes that drive me nuts, because WWE has no intention of putting the challenger over to justify a title shot. I know Del Rio is the heel, but they couldn't have booked him with someone else to get the win and earn the title shot for real?
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 "SI!" Chants
SmackDown is in an interesting position right now. Orton is still the big-name draw for most fans, but he hasn't been in the main event picture for so long that it gives others a chance to shine. It has worked to a point, with Daniel Bryan and Sheamus getting bigger reactions.
