Philadelphia Eagles: There Is No Time Like the Present to Shake Things Up
Andy Reid was a disciple of Mike Holmgren as was Jon Gruden.p>
Andy Reid begat Steve Spagnuolo, and Jon Harbaugh..
NFL officials marvel at the job Reid has done with the Eagles. But the NFL is about results.. Five NFC championship games for the Eagles and head coach Andy Reid in eight years is impressive, but their record is 1-4.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Do you think Tom Coughlin would have gotten his three-year deal if the Giants hadn't won the Super Bowl last year?
No. 1, you need someone who can evaluate talent, but also sit someone down when they are not doing the job and jab at someone who is too big for their own britches.
Jon Gruden was fired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because they folded down the stretch, going from 9-3 in the beginning of December to finish 9-6 and miss the playoffs. Maybe. But part of the reason was that players said they didn't like him. What? Who cares?
The Buccaneers paid a hefty price to get Gruden from the Oakland Raiders, something like two first round draft choices and lots of money. What happened? Gruden won a championship for Tampa in his first year in 2002 and is 95-81 in an 11-year coaching career.
A friend of mine said that Gruden won with Tony Dungy's players. Why not win with Andy Reid's players?
Why did the Eagles second to last drive, the one that mattered, stall at the 50-yard line. Was it McNabb? Was it Reid? Did Donovan have to get plays from the sideline from Reid in the Eagles 32-25 loss to Arizona on Sunday?
Sometimes I think Andy Reid carries a lunchbox and burger to work everyday. I want a coach to tell it like it is and pull no punches. Coach from the gut, make changes at halftime.
Give Gruden a two-year deal and throw insane money at him to come back to Philadelphia. Let him decide if he wants to keep Donovan McNabb.
Because the same old, same old is getting tiring.
It has been an awesome run and the Lurie/Banner/Reid/McNabb era has produced winners who can't close the deal. I have to admit that the Eagles certainly played different in the second half of the Cardinals' game. But it is too little, too late.
Let the ownership of the Eagles show that they are not blinded by Andy Reid's notebook anymore and make a bold move.
Let's see what someone else can do with a good young defense, make tough decisions on Donovan McNabb and Brian Dawkins, and settle down DeSean Jackson to help him become one of the league's finest receivers.
