Donald Driver Dancing with the Stars: Why Packers WR Remains Favorite to Win

Richard LangfordApr 3, 2012

Donald Driver is going to run away with ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

He is proving to be the perfect contestant.

He has the grace that you would expect from a wide receiver, he is personable and he has the looks to help sway female voters.

But that is not all.

There have been plenty of contestants that have had that going for them.

What pushes Driver above and beyond is what transpired during his last dance.

The dancers were instructed to perform a dance that represented the most memorable years of their lives.

Driver decided to tribute a rumba, set to Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day," to his best friend, Brian Pretlow, who died of cancer.

This set the stage for an emotionally charged dance that wowed the crowd.

After his performance Driver was too emotional to speak. Before the dance, he struggled to control his emotions while recounting how much Pretlow meant to him.

It was a heartwarming and tear-jerking tale. And it was rewarding to watch Driver pull off his nearly flawless dance as a tribute.

You will now be hard pressed to find a person that is not rooting for Driver to win, and he will win.

He is going to run away with this season's competition.

He has all the physical tools, and now he has the audience emotionally connected to him.
