WWE News: Returning Diva to Join Zack Ryder for a Feud Against Eve Torres?

That Eve Torres is a real hoski.

She’s broken Zack Ryder’s heart more times than I care to count, and at WrestleMania 28 on Sunday, she kicked Ryder square in the gonads in front of 78,000 people. Up to this point, however, Ryder has remained head over heels in love with Eve, although it looks like he’s finally ready to move on. 

In order to actually do that, though, he’s going to need a new Diva by his side, one that will help him get past that skank juice-sipping Eve.

As noted before, Zack Ryder wrote on Twitter that he was looking for a new WWE Diva to be by his side. WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix responded: 

“@ZackRyder you need a Diva that will join in for some gym, tanning and watch your backski when the chips are down #justsaying” 

The speculation is that Layla, who has been cleared to return, will end up siding with Ryder for a feud with Eve Torres.

This has been a popular rumor that’s been floating around for a while now, and it’s one that definitely makes sense. 

Eve has embarrassed Ryder plenty of times already and has become the WWE’s top heel Diva, so it seems only fitting that Ryder would eventually move on from Eve, find himself a new Diva and then feud with Eve and a male partner of her choosing. 

Layla is reportedly in line for a big push after WrestleMania 28, and the best and easiest way for the creative team to start that push is to bring her back as Ryder’s love interest and have her triumph over Eve. 

The fans really can’t stand Eve at the moment, so bringing back Layla to put her in her place would instantly establish Layla as arguably the WWE’s top baby face Diva, and, of course, it would finally give us some sort of payoff to all this Ryder/Eve nonsense that has been going on over the last several months. 

Up until now, Ryder has been made out to look like a total loser, and his romance storyline with Eve hasn’t really done much for him. In fact, I’d argue that it’s definitely hurt his position on the card. 

But that can change if Layla and Ryder are paired together, they beat Eve and some other male superstar and then Ryder uses that momentum for another push that he deserves after putting up with all this BS booking we’ve seen lately.
