Arsenal Transfer Rumours Roundup

Lukas Podolski and Yann M’Vila could be on the way in, a host of dead weight could be on the way out and a select few could be heading for big raises.

The summer transfer window comes closer by the day, and the gossip around Arsenal keeps heating up.

Depending on which source you read, Podolski is, in some varying degree, set to join Arsenal. According to recent reports, the German international forward snubbed Manchester United because Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger speaks fluent German.

Whether that’s true or not, Arsenal fans will be happy to hear the news. They’ll also be happy to hear that Marouane Chamakh could be on his way out—along with a host of other bit-part players.

Heading the other direction could be French holding midfielder Yann M’Vila, who recently said he’d welcome a move to Arsenal, Real Madrid or Inter Milan.

That doesn’t sound very promising, but M’Vila also said he’d love to play for a French manager. Wenger, despite his apparent German sympathies, is very much French.

Sometimes it pays to have a cosmopolitan manager. For Arsenal, that time might be this summer.
