Masters Favorites 2012: Tiger Woods and Players Worth Betting on

Wes ODonnellJun 4, 2018

Easter is always know for its pastel colors, but this year, one color will stand out: green.

On Sunday, one golfer will walk into the Butler Cabin and put on the historic green jacket as winner of the Masters.

Who will it be? The odds-on favorite is Tiger Woods, but he's not the only previous champion that will be on the course. Previous champions aren't the only ones to watch either.

So, here are the players worth betting...

Tiger Woods: 4-1 (According to Bovada)

Tiger's price isn't great, but the four-time champion has finished in the top 10 in each of the past six years and has a unique understanding of the course. His recent win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill doesn't help the bettor's cause, but it does show that Tiger is capable of dominating again.

He hasn't won a major in some time, but he won't be kept down forever.

Phil Mickelson: 11-1 (According to Bovada)

Lefty's three wins at Augusta are the third-most ever. Like Tiger, when he's not winning he's finishing in the top 10.

We never know when he can strike, and at 11-1, he offers a much better price than his rival.

Adam Scott: 28-1 (According to Bovada)

Scott tied for second last year with fellow Australian Jason Day and made a lot of noise in the process. He didn't win a major last year, but did win the WGC Bridgestone and finished seventh at the PGA Championship.

He comes back to Augusta rather fresh and with a decent and playable price to work with.

Jason Day: 40-1 (According to Bovada)

Most of the same goes for Day. It's not expected that the two Australian stars will both be in the running again, but one of them certainly could work their way back.

At 40-1, Day has a solid number to work with.

K.J. Choi: 66-1 (According to Bovada)

Unlike many of his peers, Choi has actually played rather well at Augusta in recent years. He's finished in the top 10 in both 2010 and 2011 and can be dangerous when he's on.

He has a favorable price and could certainly surprise.
