Anquan Boldin: Big Crybaby or Taken Out of Context?

He is a three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. He is a former AP Rookie of the Year. Yet apparently Anquan doesn't like sharing the spotlight.

What many people are already forgetting about already was in the off season Anquan Boldin demanded trades out of Arizona. He wanted out after Larry Fitzgerald received a 4-year, $40 million extension.

Boldin can't get his extension. He was the captain of the 2007-2008 team, but what kind of leader wants to be traded because he can't get a contract extension. He says he is "committed to his team", but once the game is over he storms out of the locker room because he didn't get enough catches.

Yes, I know Anquan had a horrific injury earlier this season, and the fact he is still playing this season says something about his character. He has been fighting the injury bug, as well, recently, and still showed that he wants to play. He claimed Todd Haley, the Cardinals' offensive coordinator, "took him out of the game, and didn't tell [him] why he was taken out."

Many running backs and star wide receivers get taken out on certain plays. That is one reason why football is a "team" sport. You trust your "teammates" to get the job done.

Anquan insisted on yelling at Todd Haley until teammates pulled him away from his coach. Yes, Anquan only got four catches in yesterday's game. But does it honestly really matter if you did your job to the fullest, and got the job done. I mean, the Cardinals did win, right?

Anquan is a hell of a football player but what I want to know is, is this really a big deal? Or are us as writers and viewers of the sport taking this out of context.

And the biggest question is: What the hell is wrong with Anquan Boldin?
