Nike NFL Uniforms: Why League and Fans Will Benefit from New Jerseys
With the reveal of the new uniforms for the 2012 NFL season, Nike has given the fans and the league a product that they can get behind.
This is the kind of move that benefits everyone on the NFL totem pole—from the owners to the fans.
While the redesign was not the drastic overhaul that some sects of fans had been pining for, the slight alterations give the sport a more modern feel while still conforming to the rich traditions held by the football purists.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Managing director of the University of Oregon's Warsaw Sports Marketing Center Paul Swangard told the Associated Press about what he thought the jerseys would look like:
"I think that what we'll see is a subtle homage to the collegiate revolution in uniform design, but in the framework of arguably the most successful sports franchise there is, the NFL, which is more steeped in tradition that the college landscape was when Nike really got into it with Oregon."
The man is a professor of truth!
While the designs don’t look that much different, it is the material that will be used to make the jerseys will be made of. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told the Washington Post about the real intent behind the change of jerseys:
"I think this is more of a focus on performance and trying to make sure the athletes on the field have that great quality, high performance gear.
"
NFL fans will love their own team’s design no matter what, so the small changes will be enough to get the diehards to the stores to get the latest gear.
Slight improvements and minor alterations made this reveal much more lackluster than promised.
As cool as the Oregon Ducks and other wild college football uniforms are, there is no place in a league steeped in tradition like the NFL for that foolishness.
Imagine if the Bengals were a college team?
