Watch the Returns of Lord Tensai and Brock Lesnar from WWE Monday Night Raw

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 7, 2018

Monday's Raw featured two returns to WWE of former stars. Lord Tensai, who is Prince Albert from several years ago, made his return after a couple of weeks where WWE showed videos hyping his comeback.

The bigger story coming out of Raw is the return of Brock Lesnar. Brock made headlines when he retired from UFC back in December and now it looks as if he is ready to get back to work, but this time he is back with his old employer.

Brock came out during the closing moments of the show while John Cena was calling The Rock out so he could pay respect to him.

At first, Brock extended his hand to Cena, but immediately grabbed him and delivered his signature F-5 finishing move.

The crowd came absolutely unhinged at the sight of Lesnar, especially since they had chanted his name several times throughout the night in anticipation of the rumored return.

The reaction he got seems to signify that he is welcome back in a WWE ring. I am willing to bet a fair amount of my fellow IWC brethren will not be so happy the man who took off for the NFL and UFC all those years ago is coming back on his own terms, but there are always people who will be upset.

I personally had reservations about his return, but after having seen it happen with time to digest it, I am comfortable saying that I am happy he is back.

WWE has lost a lot of star power over the last few years with the losses of Jeff and Matt Hardy, Batista, Ric Flair and Edge, and four of the biggest names from WrestleMania (Rock, HBK, HHH, Undertaker) won't be around again anytime soon.

Lesnar's return will afford WWE some breathing room when it comes to not having enough big-name stars, but they need to start building more people up now or they will find themselves relying on retired veterans to sell next year's WrestleMania as well.

With Lesnar's return coinciding with The Rock's exit from WWE for the time being it will be interesting to see how he factors into WWE's current product.

Things are not what they once were in WWE. Brock no longer has the same people on top to feud with, which is a really good thing for him.

Having Lesnar come back and feud with an old rival would not be quite as beneficial to WWE as having him feud with a few new people.

Whatever WWE decides to use Lesnar for, you know it will be big news for the next few weeks, but until we know how often Lesnar will be appearing for WWE, I would not get my hopes up for any kind of intense program with another superstar.

The other return from Monday was not quite as loved by the fans, but there was definitely some respect shown for Lord Tensai by some of the fans in attendance who either remember him from his early days or know of his career in Japan.

Tensai got an easy win over Alex Riley after the ref had to call the match when Riley could no longer continue.

Tensai looked very powerful in the ring and it is clear that while in Japan, he made great use of his time by adjusting his style to one more similar to Japan's stiffer wrestling style.

When it comes to these two returns, there will be more people who are excited about Lesnar than Tensai, but I am actually pretty excited both guys are back.

Lesnar will bring some needed star power to WWE while he is around and Tensai will bring some legitimacy to the ring with his talent.

I think the best use for a guy like Tensai would be to have him feud with someone who is right on the cusp of being a main event star, someone like Dolph Ziggler if WWE decides to have one of them be a babyface.

How these two men will be written into the current storylines will be interesting to watch unfold, and if Monday was any indication, we could already know who Cena's next feud will be with.
