A strange, mysterious and gigantic figure named Lord Tensai made his Raw debut on Monday night, and he celebrated the occasion by utterly destroying Alex Riley.
No doubt you saw it all unfold with your own two eyes. Allow me to confirm that, yes, that just happened.
And it was awesome.

So who is this guy, and where did he come from?
Well, there aren't any big secrets in regards to either one of these questions. Lord Tensai is Matt Bloom, who was also known as Prince Albert or A-Train when he was a World Wrestling Federation star from 1999 to 2004. He had his moments here and there, but he was easily let go after he suffered a torn rotator cuff.
As for what happened next, well, WWE didn't exactly shroud that in mystery. Bloom's career flourished in Japan, and now here he is back in the states as Lord Tensai.
We'll see what happens with Lord Tensai now, but the seed has been planted for him to make some significant noise going forward. In one match, WWE managed to cast him as an incredibly strong and incredibly destructive character. He's obviously going to be used as a monster figure, one with a mysterious and slightly ominous back story.
And because I'm a sucker for monsters, I'm cool with that. I'm also of the mind that Lord Tensai's character is something fresh, which is always good.
All he needs now is somebody to feud with. Since there's already some significant buzz (if Twitter is any indication) surrounding him, it likely won't be long before that's taken care of.
And judging from his debut match, Lord Tensai won't have any trouble making enemies.
