Tiger Woods Guaranteed to Make 2012 Masters Unforgettable

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

Sports fans love a good come-from-behind story, a comeback you never saw coming. Tiger Woods is about to give an epic performance at the 2012 Masters.

Augusta will be the stage for a grand entrance from Woods. Sure, we have seen this guy in the past few years, but have rarely seen the legend that could strike fear in the field from a simple drive at 13. You could sense when Woods was getting hot, and it melted the rest of the field like they were made of wax.

That Tiger, the one that could do no wrong, was lost for 924 days as he went winless, creating far more in frustration than he ever could in progress.

After four solid days at Bay Hill, we can now welcome back the real Tiger, the one that makes this sport so much fun to watch.

Ratings will surge as the field gets back its Michael Jordan, an athlete that makes everything that much more interesting.

Sure, we can now call him a winner, but he needs to prove he is able to command the big stage. Injuries, putting and younger golfers are all reasons to doubt he will wear the green jacket after the weekend.

After bowing out at Doral, Woods showed no signs of the Achilles injury at Bay Hill. More than that, he was driving the ball as well as he ever has. And if there were any remaining questions on his health, he may have just answered that with four days that would have bested pretty much any star golfer two weekends ago.

The putting was the biggest issues facing Woods in the past few months, but that finally clicked in full just in time for the Masters.  Augusta can be devastating to those suffering short game woes. With Woods putting the way he is, there is no reason to think he won't put another great four days together.

After a few years of awful frustration and futility, Tiger is headed for a memorable return to glory.
