Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 25

It had been rumored for a while that Stone Cold Steve Austin would have a storyline going into Wrestlemania 25. It is huge year for the WWE and Austin. It is the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania and the year Austin gets in the WWE Hall of Fame.

For a while now I along with others have speculated who would be his opponent at Wrestlemania because of the storyline involving him. Now a WWE legend, Hulk Hogan has come out and said he wants to face Austin at Wrestlemania 25.

Both will be there so it is not like either one of them are going out of their way. And Hogan has said he could care less who wins, he just wants to be apart of history. Everyone expects to see Austin and Hogan at Wrestlemania this year.

So it would be good for fans, young and old to see.

Others such as Trish Stratus have been rumored to have a match at Mania too. Many WWE legends will be there for the 25th anniversary. But the Austin vs Hogan match would be the one that stood out.

It would be similar to that of Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels that everyone thought stole the show last year. However we have seen something similar to this with Hogan and Austin.

As a matter of fact Hogan was involved. Anyone remember Hulk Hogan vs The Rock? Probably something no one thought they would ever see. Yet we did.

It was sort of like if you could put the best currently in a sport against the very best of all time in that sport.

We saw that in the Rock vs Hogan match, which everyone loved. So this would not be something we would have never seen before.

Austin feels sort of the same way. He stated in the past that "he has no interest in a match with Hogan because the work rate would be poor."

Which is strong words, but you can see what he means. I mean Hogan has gotten older and many think he was not that great of a "wrestler" anyway. I liked him and he did a lot for entertainment, but wrestling wise he was never the best.

If we could get Bret Hart vs Stone Cold that would be something worth watching to me. Two big rivals and two people who had some of the best matches off all time. I doubt we will see it though.

Considering Hart has said he wants nothing to do with wrestling anymore. But we can dream can't we?

I would still like to see Hogan vs Austin. But I don't think you could make a great storyline with them though. I would want to see a great storyline leading up to Wrestlemania 25.

I think what we will end up seeing it a young star like possibly Ted Dibiase, who father has had run-ins with Austin go against Stone Cold. It would be good for Dibiase because it would get him good popularity.

And Stone Cold would have a great match, which he really wants to have. Even if it is not Dibiase I would still want to see a younger star go against Austin.
