WWE Rumors: WrestleMania 28 Results, Brock Lesnar and Monday's Top WWE News

Adam WellsJun 7, 2018

Ladies and gentlemen, we have witnessed the 28th annual WrestleMania extravaganza. With rumors about who may or may not make an appearance, we ended up getting good matches with clean finishes.

It is a novel concept that WWE really should try more often, especially if it works as well as it did for the top three matches on Sunday night. All of the matches that we paid to see delivered one way or another, and we have a sure-to-be special Raw to follow it up tonight.

We will break down all of the action from WrestleMania 28, and get you ready for Raw with some news, notes and information from behind the scenes.

WRESTLEMANIA 28 GIVES THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT

Unlike most WWE events, WrestleMania can be counted on to give the people exactly what they are paying to see: Great matches with all the top stars giving their best effort of the year. This year's show was just what it needed to be, no more, no less.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will any WWE match top Undertaker-Triple H this year?

Our Take: It's possible, given there are still eight months left, but highly unlikely. As great as The Rock's moment at the end of the show was, it was obvious that Undertaker and Triple H told the best story and put on the best all-around match on the show.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 WrestleMania Moments

Sure, this wasn't the best WrestleMania ever. The burial of Daniel Bryan and Zack Ryder was a little alarming, though not unsurprising in the case of the latter. Still, the top three matches are what everyone paid to see, and they all delivered in their own way.

IS BROCK LESNAR WWE BOUND?

One of the biggest stories to come out of Miami was Brock Lesnar's trip to South Beach and negotiations with WWE. Some were figuring that the former WWE Undisputed Champion would make an appearance at WrestleMania, but, wisely, it didn't happen.

Question on Everybody's Mind: So what exactly is the deal with Lesnar?

Our Take: It appears that something is developing. In fact, an appearance on tonight's Raw, which should be the highest-rated episode of the year, to set up a potential match at SummerSlam or next year's 'Mania would not be a surprise.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 WWE Stars Returning To Save The Company

While there may be some excitement for Lesnar right now, beware what the future holds. He is not motivated to be a star in WWE. He has plenty of money already, and if/when he signs a contract he will have even more. Let's see how much he actually tries before we anoint him a savior.

DANIEL BRYAN BURIED TO SET A RECORD, WHICH DIDN'T HAPPEN

Just in case you were wondering what happened with Daniel Bryan in the opening match at WrestleMania, he is fine. His push was reportedly sacrificed so that WWE could claim a new record for fastest title change at the show.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is WWE really that stupid?

Our Take: If you want to know why WWE has to rely on old stars like Rock, Lesnar, Steve Austin, Triple H, Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to sell WrestleMania, it is because of moronic ideas like this with the new talent that fills the roster.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Epic Burials

Regardless of how you feel about Bryan as a character in WWE, even the most spiteful would say that he deserved a match that went at least as long as the divas tag match, or that awful backstage segment between Heath Slater and Flo Rida.

LORD TENSAI BRINGS HIS TALENTS TO SOUTH BEACH

Lost in the shuffle of the Brock Lesnar rumors is the fact that Lord Tensai has also been in Miami since last week, and there is talk that he could be making his re-debut on Raw tonight with WWE setting up the post-WrestleMania feuds.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Who is Lord Tensai targeting?

Our Take: With all the names talked about as potential opponents for him, John Cena seems like the best bet. He is stuck without a direction right now, WWE has been hyping Tensai like he is a big deal and it would make him feel like something special before Cena destroys him.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Full-Body Tattoos

Tensai may not be ready for the main-event scene in WWE, but he is a man walking into an ideal situation. The biggest star has nothing to do, and Tensai is poised to get a big push. He is the smartest wrestler in the world, in my book.
