WrestleMania 28 Results: CM Punk Guts out Victory Against Chris Jericho

CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho through sheer will and determination at WrestleMania 28 in Miami to hang on to his WWE championship belt.

The match between Punk and Jericho wasn't performed in a cage, but it should have been. Both men gave each other all they had in an epic, exhausting display of athleticism, fortitude and strength.

One of the recurring themes during this match was the way Punk kept asking Jericho about his family. He asked about Jericho's father and his sister at various points during the action just to piss him off.

Jericho had Punk pinned multiple times using his patented "Walls of Jericho" move, but every time Punk managed to somehow wiggle out of it by either getting to the ropes or by rolling through. The last time Jericho attempted this maneuver, he paid for it when Punk used his momentum to throw him down to the ground.

In reality, Jericho should have won this match a few different times, but as it was he couldn't get the job done when it mattered. 

There was a lot of high-flying action in this match. In the end, Punk was just too much for Jericho to handle, despite Jericho having the upper hand throughout much of the match.

In the end, Punk caught Jericho in the Vice and forced him to tap out. 

It wasn't easy, though, and at one point Punk was screaming at Jericho, saying, "Tap out you son of a bitch!"

It was a fantastic match to watch. Nothing too contrived of ridiculous, just a couple of amazing athletes beating one another senseless for 15 minutes.
