WWE Hall of Fame: Owen Hart and the Top Candidates for the Class of 2013

Alex HallJun 7, 2018

The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012 had some great names on the list, such as The Rated R Superstar, Edge and the legendary Four Horsemen, but there are still those who have yet to hear their name and entrance music called the night before Wrestlemania.

Here are a few names to keep in mind for next year's Hall of Fame Class of 2013.

Owen Hart

Hart is a name that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, period. I understand the reason for the holdup on his induction is due to conflicts between Hart's widow, Martha, and the WWE itself. Whether that is still true, though, is anyone's guess.

With the new generation of Hart wrestlers such as Natalya and dungeon-trained Tyson Kidd now with the company, along with Bret Hart and Vince McMahon burying the hatchet, signs could be pointing toward Owen's induction soon enough. Few deserve the honor more than the "The Rocket," who was one of the most talented and charismatic superstars of his time.

Trish Stratus:

From one Canadian legend to the next, Stratus is easily the greatest female wrestler since the Fabulous Moolah retired.

Stratus, along with one of the strongest Diva divisions of all time, brought an attention to the female wrestler that hadn't been seen in decades and hasn't been seen since. She was seven-time women's champion, four-time Pro Wrestling Illustrated Woman of the Year and Woman of the Decade for 2000-2009.

Stratus' accomplishments and talents helped paved the way for the Divas of today, and she is very deserving of a Hall of Fame entry.

Lita

Lita was the Joker to Stratus' Batman for many of their years in the WWE, and there were few things better than watching Trish and Lita feud. Lita helped launch the career of Matt and Jeff Hardy as a member of Team Xtreme, using moves like the moonsault that other Divas really hadn't tried before.

Lita was so good at making fans hate her, whether it was through torturing Stratus or her time as Edge's girlfriend.

Kevin Nash

While I personally have never been his biggest supporter, Kevin Nash was an influential part of the wrestling industry in the 1990s. His work in WWE was somewhat notable, but when he went to WCW during the peak of his career, he accomplished plenty in and outside the ring.

While sometimes destructive with his front office pull, Nash did do some good when booking feuds and matches. I mean, the WCW did dominate the "Monday Night Wars" for a period of time, in part due to Nash.
