WrestleMania 28 Livestream: The Pros and Cons to Watching WWE Online

WrestleMania day has finally come for WWE fans worldwide, but that doesn't mean every member of the WWE Universe will be able to sit in their favorite recliner and watch the pay-per-view on their television, as livestreaming has become a popular way for fans to watch in recent years.

Due to the timezone differences for some fans or the work schedules of others, WWE offers its fans the chance to watch the "granddaddy of them all" online today for a fee.

As much as I approve and agree with the company keeping with the times and offering the PPV online, there are the drawbacks to the concept as well.

Lets take a look and the good and bad aspects to watching wrestling online.

Pros

Access

The great thing about the ability to watch a pay-per-view or anything really online is the fact that you don't need to be at home in your living room to enjoy it.

If you're stuck working the night shift tonight and have computer access, you can find ways to enjoy the spectacle like everyone else.

Maneuverability

Unlike a 40-inch television, laptops are easy to move around your house. If you're watching WrestleMania tonight and you realize that you should probably make dinner, it's easy to move your laptop into the kitchen and cook while you cheer for your favorite superstars.

Cons

Video Quality

Call me old-fashioned if you will, but I prefer the video quality of my Samsung television over my HP laptop. Whether it's the WWE livestream lagging or trying to catch up with the action, there can be moments of frustration over the visual aspect of watching online.

When you're watching on your TV, there's no worrying over those sort of possibilities, which is just one less thing to worry about while you kick back and enjoy.

Experience

Another thing you can call me old-fashioned for is that I just don't think you can beat watching WrestleMania on a large screen with a few of your buddies.

When you're watching online, it's still enjoyable, but it's not the same as grabbing a few sodas (or beers if you're of age), ordering some pizza and enjoying wrestling's biggest spectacle in beautiful high definition.

Final Verdict

I'm all for watching online if it's the only way you're going to enjoy the show tonight, and it's great that it's an option.

That being said, there really isn't anything that can compare to some time with your fellow wrestling fans, a big screen and some good ol' fashioned man-food to have the best WrestleMania experience.
