WWE WrestleMania 28: Now That WrestleMania 28 Is Over, What Happens Next?

David LevinJun 7, 2018

Let us catch our breath.

It delivered. There was electricity and fun and excitement. And it delivered.

Hell in a Cell? Delivered.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho? Delivered.

The Rock vs. John Cena? Delivered.

Fact is, now we can move on. We can see the new feuds take place, hope that some stick around and build momentum toward Extreme Rules and bring in new talent that has been talked about like Lord Tensai so there is a freshness that the WWE needs.

Call it building for the future.

But seriously, we have a new World Champion in Sheamus who will either battle Daniel Bryan again or feud with Cody Rhodes or someone like Wade Barrett when he returns from injury. All four of these wrestlers are the future of the company.

Then, we have Big Show, who won the Intercontinental Title, but more importantly, had his WrestleMania moment. And now that he has a title, will Kane, Mark Henry or someone else come out of the back to challenge him? Where does he stand on the back side of his career?

Can we please see more of Chris Jericho again in the ring with CM Punk? Are there others (Dolph Ziggler, The Miz) itching to get their chance to grab gold? Can any of these two others sell and draw at the gate?

Would there be another wrestler who jumps in the mix (John Cena?) or the one we have been clamouring for, Daniel Bryan, who would be an awesome opponent now that he's no longer a champion and will be chasing gold as well.

What happens to Triple H and HBK and Undertaker? An era ended last night. The end of the "Attitude" generation as we knew it, and for men in their 40s, I do not think we could have asked for anything better than what we saw.

The give and take, the mutual respect and the heartfelt gravity of the ending by all three superstars and the fans was truly moving.

Will we see more drama from John Laurinaitis now that he is GM of both Raw and SmackDown? Does this lead to a unified title? Does The Miz become the golden boy again? Can we see Teddy Long become a manager of a tag team, say Kofi Kingston and R-Truth?

And when do we see someone like a Lord Tensai or a Drew McIntyre step up? Will there be sparks tonight? Will there be drastic changes? Will we be happy or sad?

And one more thing, what happens to John Cena after last night. Remember, he "HAD" to win and beat The Rock.

He didn't do it, so what does that mean for Cenation?
