Fantasy Baseball Rankings 2012: Sleepers on Verge of Becoming Superstar Sluggers
They are out there, you just have to know where to look.
Spring training is coming to a close, which means we only have a few days left to hope and daydream of what is to come. Every last team has a fair shake in the marathon of the MLB season.
With that in mind, we look at the young sluggers who we are most hopeful for heading into the 2012 campaign.

10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
1. Lucas Duda
The Mets outfielder comes with all the spice of a free swinger without all that awful mess of missing the ball. Duda has a great contact rate, having me hopeful that we are on the brink of seeing some tremendous pop from the 26-year-old.
More than getting regular time in the outfield and plenty of at-bats, his spring training numbers are what really gets me giddy about his future.
In 44 at-bats, Duda is batting .318 with four home runs and nine RBI. This is one player who wants the season to start immediately.
2. Mat Gamel
There is one person in Milwaukee who is happy to see Prince Fielder go, and that is Gamel. The first baseman had a great year in the minors last year, and will be more than ready for his first full year in the majors.
This spring, Gamel is batting .240 with four home runs and nine RBI. He has 25-home run power and would be a steal in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.
3. Ike Davis
I still can't believe that Davis is going so low in most drafts.
According to ESPN's projections, Davis has an ADP of 213.2, making him a steal with tremendous power considering where you will get him in your draft.
He showed promise in 2011, but an ankle injury kept him to 149 at-bats. I am confident we will see something north of 2010's output. That means .280 and close to 25 home runs for you fantasy owners.
