Premier League Weekend: 5 Games to Watch and Why
This weekend, the English Premier League kicks off six straight days of action. It starts with Swansea City versus Newcastle on Friday night and goes all the way through Queens Park Rangers versus Swansea in the final match next Wednesday.
With 20 games in the next coming days, there is a lot to take in.
However, before we get to the second round of the week, we have to take a look at the big picture in these first 10 games of the coming tide.
The two games on Easter Sunday could well decide the title race.
Prior to that, the fates of third through sixth place also are in the cards. They'll either be thrown into complete disarray or maintain pace for the current moment to keep the suspense building for the final weeks.
The relegation battles of the weekend will be big matches, but at the moment, all eyes are on Manchester as City and United are about to show which club wants the title more.
Swansea City vs. Newcastle United
1 of 6It may not seem as massive of a fixture when compared to Arsenal vs. Manchester City, but Swansea and Newcastle's match has huge implications.
Newcastle are tied on points with Chelsea for the final UEFA Europa League spot, and if they want a shot at Europe, they have to continue their recent run of good form.
Swansea also have much to gain, as a victory over Newcastle leapfrogs them into the top half into a tie with Liverpool for eighth on points.
Sunderland vs. Tottenham
2 of 6The Stadium of Light has been a bastion of upsets for the Black Cats this season, and there is hope that it could be just that for them against Tottenham this Saturday.
Spurs need a victory to put the pressure on Arsenal and take back third place for at least the first part of the weekend, as they look to assure UEFA Champions League action next campaign.
Sunderland, however, have the chance to play spoiler and also jump as high as seventh in the league.
Liverpool vs. Aston Villa
3 of 6It is no secret that Liverpool are in a heap of trouble right now.
In eight league matches this year, they only have one victory. With three losses on the bounce, it is time for the Reds to put up or shut up against Villa.
Likewise, the Villains are having a season they would like to forget. Despite a valiant effort last weekend against Chelsea, it was not meant to be.
However, with the Reds on the back foot right now, Villa have a huge chance to get one over against a home side that have been poor at Anfield all season.
Manchester United vs. Queens Park Rangers
4 of 6This match looks like it should be cut and dry as a Manchester United victory.
However, that is what makes it so interesting.
Queens Park Rangers are capable of pulling off an upset if they play to their potential. By no means do they have the talent or ability of the Red Devils, but that is what makes football great.
Any game can be a one-off. If QPR were to pull a huge upset and not only add points to their relegation fight, but hamper the league leaders' hold on the top, it would be massive.
Manchester City would also love to see United get upset at home. City's match against Arsenal could completely eliminate them from any last hopes of winning the league if they lose and United win.

Arsenal vs. Manchester City
5 of 6Echoing the comments from the previous slide, the match between Arsenal and Manchester City is a must-win for both clubs.
Arsenal need the victory to guarantee they keep pace with or take the lead from Tottenham in the race for third and maintain automatic Champions League action.
Manchester City are in an even worse position. A loss here and a Manchester United victory over QPR on the same day would see them go eight points down and almost certainly end their title hopes.
If Roberto Mancini's side are to have any chance of turning around their last few weeks of poor form, the time is now or never for this campaign.
This Easter weekend is one of huge dramatic potential with many interesting top-table scenarios in the balance.
