Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13: Top Features That Golf Fans Will Love

Michael DixonMar 29, 2012

When Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 hits the shelves, golf gamers everywhere will be rushing to stores everywhere to get the game—that's a given. But once they are home and playing the games, these are the features that they will appreciate the most.

Some are new, some aren't, but all will make fans happy with their investment.

Augusta National

Thank you, EA Sports for keeping this one going. The inclusion of Augusta National and The Masters is perfect for us junkies that haven't quite made their way to the actual course.

It's hard to imagine a place more special to a golfer than Augusta. Getting the chance to play it virtually is too great to ignore.

Individual Touch

Robert Workman of the Chicago Tribune detailed some of the best parts of this aspect:

"

Probably the most interesting aspect of the game is how you can change your gameplay up, to make it feel like your own. We're talking everything from swing analysis to a putting meter that asks for the right kind of power, to changing up your stance and approach to the ball. There are a number of things you can tweak here to really put yourself into the game.

"

In other words, when you create a golfer, you can have him resemble you and your golf game better than ever. Actually, it's not entirely impossible that you'll learn to be a better golfer with the swing analysis feature, which has never really been an option in the past.

But even if you don't learn a thing about the actual game, getting the chance to make your golfer look a little more authentic is too good to pass up.

Tiger Legacy Challenge

This is how EA describes this feature on the game's official website:

"

Tiger Legacy Challenge lets you relive Tiger’s most memorable golf accomplishments as he rises from a child prodigy to a golfing legend. Revisit each era of Tiger’s career, from his Toddler Years practicing in his backyard, to his first television appearance on The Mike Douglas Show, thru his epic victories at the Masters. Play through and complete each era to unlock bonus in game content.

"

Okay, this sounds incredibly fun. As a person who's grown up watching these clips of Tiger, it would be kind of a nice way to go back and relive it—even if it is from an outside perspective.

Tiger is one of the more iconic athletes we've ever seen and in one way or another, he's been right in front of us since he was just a little kid. Having the chance to experience some of that in a virtual way is a nice way to go back in time and live vicariously through Tiger.
