New York Jets 2012 Schedule: Which Tim Tebow Matchups Are We Anticipating
Now that the New York Jets have Tim Tebow on board, there are several games we're looking forward to next season.
Personally, I want to see how the New England Patriots and head coach Bill Belichick prepare for their two matchups against Tebow. The Pats did a great job containing the Florida product when the he faced them twice with the Denver Broncos in 2011.
During a regular season matchup in Denver on Dec. 18 Tebow completed 11 of 22 passes for 194 yards, while rushing 12 times for 93 yards and two scores. But he also fumbled twice (one lost) and was sacked four times, in a 41-23 New England win.

In the second round of the playoffs at Foxboro, the Patriots dominated the young quarterback. Tebow completed just nine of his 26 passes for 136 yards, while he ran the ball five times for just 13 yards. Tebow was sacked five times, hit 10 times and fumbled once.
The difference this time when Belichick puts together his plan to stop Tebow he will only be working out of just certain packages while Mark Sanchez will be taking most of the snaps under center.
The Buffalo Bills also did a great job containing Tebow in 2011, and they will face the Jets twice in 2012 as well. The Bills added defensive ends Mario Williams and Mark Anderson in the offseason, which should bolster the team's pass rush.
When the Bills hosted the Broncos on Dec. 24, Tebow completed 13 of 29 passes for 185 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions. He ran the ball 10 times for just 34 yards, fumbled twice (one lost) and was sacked four times.
Again, the Bills will have to prepare for both Tebow and Sanchez and I'll be interested to see if they deploy the same strategy of single-covering receivers and going hard after the team's quarterbacks.
Mostly I'm interested to see how Tebow attacks two of the teams that handled him the best in 2011 in a new season. I want to see if he has learned anything from those bad games and if he has improved.
