Michael Vick: The Fake Outrage and The Overblown Dog Fighting Case!

Is Michael Vick's case overblown? 

Let me address the fact that no one excuses Vick for what he did to his dogs. It was awful, but do your own research. Do not just rely on what you've heard from the media.

The electrocutions of the dogs were done by the other guy Tony Taylor. The hangings also, and Taylor was the one that did most of the sick things to the dogs. Taylor lived at the house and he was the first one to flip for the F.B.I., because he was the main one committing these sick actions.

Taylor had an ax to grind with Vick for cutting him off... Also, Vick kicked him off property. So it's messed up that Taylor got less time for what he did.

Truth is, the other  three guys were all older than Vick, which doesn’t excuse the former Falcon's QB, but they all grew up together in his neighborhood and he probably looked up to those guys. (I know great role models right? I know!) But Vick was a grown man (26 @ the time) and should have known better to let anyone or be a part of this.  

Vick was also a product of his environment. I know a lot of people think he should have left those people alone, and made new friend with all his new money and fame. But come on, tt’s better to deal with the Devils you know then the Devils you don’t know.  

Let’s be real, I think Vick should have been punished, maybe not as far as two years in prison, and 140 million in lost income (WOW!).  He should have done some time for his role in all this, but not as much on his first case. Yes people,  this is his first real brush with the law,  no others in his life; check for your self and you'll that they are none.

I'll ask this, would Vick still be dog fighting? Maybe, if Vick did not get caught, he still would. When the whole dog fighting incident came to light, he put everyone out the house and sold it. He won’t participate in dogfighting any more, problems solved? (No the animals are dead); but assume for a second that everyone does not treat animals as well as their fellow humans because they were not raised the same as you and I.

If all life is precious, should we not apologize for all forms of animal death (hunting, cockfighting, fox hunting & McDonalds)? Some people believe that when putting an animal to sleep, there is no suffering involved in certain forms of death. I don’t and neither does anyone living, but death is still end result. No one asks the animal if it wants to live?)

What if the Vick case was just a state case? I think it should have been. Yes, Vick would have gotten away with a slap on the wrist, which he should not have (he should done some time), but that would scared the hell out of him and it would have stopped him from dog fighting and still had the same effect on the world.

The Rape Stand? What is this, a word made up by the media? To describe a breeder’s stand is what it is called, but the media with a grin put Rape Stand out as if Vick made this thing up. So many lies were put down as if this kid started this thing out of nowhere. You know when Clinton Portis (God Bless his crazy *ss) said, "I don't know if he was fighting dogs or not, but it's his property, it's his dog," and “If that's what he wants to do, do it. I think people should mind their business."

And, when told that dog fighting is a felony, Portis replied, "It can't be too bad of a crime." He also said he would take you to Mississippi where judges, police, politicians and sheriffs all dog fight and no one is after them.

I don’t agree with all that Clinton said, but he is right when it comes to the media using Vick as a scapegoat or fall guy for dogfighting. And that’s not fair at all; PETA has a point and I will agree with them when it comes to treating all animals with respect, but they go too far with the demonizing of Vick. And here comes the hypocrites some are true animal lovers, eating no meat or leather car seats, Coach Bags, etc. 

Some people speak out of both sides of their mouth about the poor animals, and then attend the Kentucky Derby every year. Some are just bigots who don’t care at all about the animals; they go hunting on a full stomach or may be if they are well off, foxhunt and eat veal.

Some like to jump at any chance to call a black male a thug or punk or anything short of the N word in public, but behind closed doors (they WINK at each other like we got him!) we know how it is just fake outrage. When some people say Vick needed to be put in his place? He is scum, so they made example of him showed what could be done to one the top non connected men if he stepped out of line.

So Vick has done his time or will be done, and no one (please someone prove me wrong) thinks this guy is going to be smuggling puppies in the trunk of a car across the Mexican line to dogfight or will ever dogfight again. Then you know what? The American justice system has done its job and he learned his lesson.

For God sake, if we catch him near any dogfights again, throw his behind in jail and hail mary away the key. I don’t think he will. He gave almost a million dollars to his remaining dogs to be taken care of, so leave the man alone, people. Should he be allowed back in the league? Michael Vick is not Charles Manson, Adolf Hitler, Osama bin Laden or any other mass murderer.

Murder, as defined in Common Law countries, is the unlawful killing of another Human Being with intent (or malice aforethought), and generally this state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of unlawful homicide. All jurisdictions, ancient and modern, consider it a most serious crime, and therefore impose severe penalty on its commission.

When some people dare to compare and post things like this on the Internet about Vick, I often wonder, do they think about the humans that were victims and relatives of those victims of those crimes, that these actual killers committed crimes against the human race? The first murder, if you read the Bible, was Cain killing Abel. I don’t think they spoke that much about the killing of animals in the Bible, but I’m not sure.

Some say Vick is a Sociopath? Are you kidding me?!?  I think that if this is the case, then what does it say about the other men in the NFL that may have hurt people? Brett Favre, drug addict & alcoholic? Peyton Manning, a sexual pervert and misogynist.  Michael Turner or Pat Kerney and so many others I can’t list have allegedly been involved in sexual assault (even Kobe Bryant of the NBA.)  Ray Lewis and his murder case? Leonard Little and his drunk driving incident, where he actually killed somebody.

God know what else is that’s swept up under rug. Lance Briggs, alcoholic? Speed, drink and drive, cheat on their taxes, shoot at people maybe? Marvin Harrison, shooting incident? Matt Jones snorting cocaine in his own car? (Dude could not wait to get home? WOW!)

But hey no film  24 hrs of coverage on these things, and yet they or we still find a way to cheer for these guys on Sundays, even with our children. Are they megalomaniacs? Or suffer some other form of mental delusion that we are not aware of? I do not know, but when you demonize someone like the way they have with Vick, it is just awful.

Please people, don’t paint with such a wide brush as to compare Vick to the likes of Jack the Ripper or some other real killers in history. Please do not say that you would like for Vick to have some harm brought to him because then everyone should be wondering who is really the sick one or sociopath. CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said some people are deranged. If they care more about crimes against animals than crimes on fellow humans, I agree.

Oh yeah one more thing; a dog is not a child, please STOP. Do not say it is the same because I would hate to be a child of yours if it is.   And I love all animals, I’m a vegan.
