Richard LangfordJun 1, 2018

Players and points were flying in the 2012 McDonald's All-American game. This game was not short on highlights or excitement.

The West opened up a big lead, but the East did not give up. They put together a huge comeback and almost overtook the West.

However, their comeback efforts fell short. The West ended up on top, 106-102.

East

Kyle Anderson: A

The UCLA-bound Anderson showed exactly why he is such a intriguing prospect. He is 6'7", but he legitimately has the potential to play the point.

He is smooth and has the handles. He is also going to be a triple-double machine. In 24 minutes in this game he tallied 13 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals.

Alex Poythress: B+

Kentucky-bound Poythress can score. The 6'7" wing player is fluid and smooth.

He did not look over-matched in any way with these other elite players, and ended with 19 in this game.

Even with the elite players on this court, it was still obvious that he can flat-out run the floor.

West

Shabazz Muhammad: A

Muhammad continued to "wow" people. He was a man among boys in this game, and wound up with the MVP.

He scored 19 in the first half and took the second half easy when he was playing. He finished with 21 points and six rebounds.

Muhammad is still uncommitted, but wherever he lands is getting a tremendous player.

Rasheed Sulaimon: A-

Sulaimon was fantastic. The kid can shoot. There is no doubt about that. He ended up with 18 points.

The 6'3" guard is set to take his talents to Duke. After watching him in this game, there is no doubt that he will instantly make a huge impact at shooting guard.

He is quick enough to get to the hoop, and because of his shot he doesn't even have to.
