Predictions
It's impossible to get the straight dope on the what the jerseys will look like exactly. Nike is keeping a tight lid on the new look of every team, but that doesn't mean we don't have some past alterations to consider.
This past January, Nike outfitted the Oregon Ducks for battle in some new threads and this is what those looked like, via Nike Twitter feed.
This is how those unis looked under the bright lights.
Portland Business Journal's Erik Siemers has some thoughts on what teams may be in for an overhaul, and who may not.
"Some—notably the Seattle Seahawks—are expected to have a new look. But the game’s oldest franchises (the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, to name a few) aren’t likely to stray too far from tradition. Doing so would stray from the teams’ brand image and, more than just football teams, these franchises are each massive consumer brands.
"
While we are in store for exciting changes, don't expect a new league that you simply don't recognize.
Concepts and Spoilers
We already have a sneak peak of some gear thanks to ESPN's Page 2, as images of shirts bearing the Nike look and mantra have hit the Internet.
However, this tells us little of what we could possibly expect on April 3rd. Here is a brief roundup of various concepts that have been bandied about.
Please remember that these are just fan speculation and rumored concepts. This is in no way official or in any way connected to Nike. It is merely a show of the hype that has been produced by the simple fact that the sports apparel giant is taking over the NFL jerseys.
At some point in the last couple years, a flood of concepts with cool new looks began hitting the web. Here is a picture cited by Business Insider and shows a mammoth change.
I would seriously doubt that we are headed this way.
There are some fan-made concepts that may be far off from what hits next week, but makes them no less interesting.
A Minneapolis-based design firm has thoughts on the upcoming jerseys and they are pretty amazing. Here is the Green Bay Packers' jersey.

And, of course, the rival Minnesota Vikings get some fan-made love.
Rumors
Lastly, we tackle the rumors floating around ahead of the big day.
Danny O'Neil of The Seattle Times reports the Seahawks are one team that will embrace every last bit of Nike's takeover as they change their look.
"A little birdie gave out a few hints the helmets will be darker, and there will be some feather trim. The helmets are not expected to go back to being silver.
"
A feather trim sounds a great deal like an Oregon Ducks type of alteration.
I hope Peyton Manning looks good in orange, because BroncoTalk thinks the next Broncos jersey will look a great deal like those alternates.
"We don’t know how the uniform will look (other than quite similar to the team’s 2011 alternate orange-based uniforms), but Nike did release images of what the team’s Vapor Jet Gloves will look like.
"
Those gloves can be seen here.
