The Philadelphia 76ers are among the most debated teams in the NBA. Are they the second coming of the early-2000 Detroit Pistons with their star-less approach?

I say no.

While there are similarities with strong defense and balanced scoring, there are some glaring differences. Most of which I discuss in the video.

As this team is currently, how many of us believe that the Sixers can compete with the likes of Chicago, Miami and even Orlando in the postseason?

The Sixers are only 2-6 vs. those three teams, that are No. 1, 2 and 3 in the Eastern Conference. Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that regular season is a different animal than the playoffs. However, the very things that make the playoffs different are the things that further expose Philly’s weaknesses.

This team has some great potential and a marvelous mental makeup, but they need one or two more pieces to be an elite squad.
