Is It Time To Start Over?
The Washington Wizards have one of the best big three in the NBA, including Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, and Antwan Jamison.
But the way this year has gone and with injuries, and being knock out of the playoffs three straight times to the Cleveland Cavaliers, people are wondering is it time to rebuild.
In 2006, Arenas, Butler, and Jamison had there best season together. They were a team that were exciting to watch. They were a fast break team, and what ever Gilbert Arenas said would happen happened. If that was scoring 50 points against the Phoenix Suns, scoring 60 against the Lakers, or guarantee victories, it didn't matter.
The team collapsed that year after both Arenas, Butler went down with injuries. As a result they end up getting swept in the first round of the playoffs, by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The next season, Gilbert Arenas pushed his knee to hard and wounding up having a second surgery on his knee. The Wizards were able to hang tough and win some basketball games in his absence. Arenas was able to come back and lead the Wizards to the playoffs, but he still was not 100 percent and had to end his short comeback in game five of the NBA playoffs.
That same off season both Arenas, and Jamison were free agents and people were saying should they start over and try to pick up some free agents or try to give this guys another chance. Arenas, and Jamison were retained and the Wizards looked like they were headed in the right direction.
This upcoming season, people thought that Areans was fine and was going to be 100 percent. But Areans had to have a procedure done to clear out some debris in his left knee, and has missed the first four months of the NBA season. People, and Areans himself, are questioning whether he should come back this season due to the Wizards record.
The Wizards are going to be in the lottery this season. People are wondering if they end up receiving the No. 1 pick and, select Blake Griffin should they just start over and built around him.
Griffin is a 6-10 forward from Oklahoma, he has shown he can play and would help the wizards in differnt areas.
Arenas, made the quote ''If we end up getting the No. 1 pick like San Antonio did when they drafted Tim Duncan, that would benefit us."
Maybe Griffin maybe that guy to get the Wizards over the hump.
