WrestleMania 28 Predictions: Daniel Bryan Will Steal the Show

Adam WellsJun 7, 2018

With all the talk of Rock vs. Cena, Hell In a Cell and CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, the one match everyone seems to be overlooking is Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus. The result of that one isn't as enticing as what Bryan will do in his first WrestleMania match.

It should be noted that I fully expect Sheamus to win the title, and good for him. He is a solid worker who might become a big deal at some point.

But Bryan has been the MVP of SmackDown for the last three months. Ever since his heel character gimmick started, he has been knocking everything out of the park. His work in the ring is unsurprisingly stellar. His work on the microphone just keeps getting better and better.

His charisma and personality are unmatched by virtually all of the full-time performers in WWE, minus CM Punk and John Cena. He has been so good, and things will just keep getting better and better at WrestleMania.

The one caveat that should be thrown out there is, if the Bryan-Sheamus match is given enough time, then Bryan will be the showstopper.

Since all of the other fluff, like the 12-man tag match or the divas tag match, is not likely to get more than 10 minutes, Bryan and Sheamus should have plenty of time to turn in a great performance.

Bryan doesn't need a great WrestleMania match to prove to the world that he is a star in the business, but it will only help his star shine brighter.

Somewhere in the back, Vince McMahon knows what he has in Bryan: A great technical wrestler who can sell for anyone, and a dynamic talker who makes getting heat look so easy. There are not a lot of stars like that in WWE right now.

Much like Shawn Michaels often did during the last five years of his career, Bryan may not win at WrestleMania, but he will be the talk of the town the next day with a brilliant performance in a high-profile match.
