Masters 2012 Predictions: Tiger Woods and Other Golfers Sure to Shine at Augusta

Eric BowmanJun 7, 2018

The 2012 Masters is going to be very exciting, and well before anyone tees off, it's easy to see which golfers are going to do the best at Augusta National.

It's never easy to predict who will win it all, because there are so man strong competitors, but narrowing it down to a few players isn't entirely difficult.

It's a given that these players will perform at a high level because that's just what they do in big moments.

That being said, here are three golfers sure to shine at the 2012 Masters.

Tiger Woods

After winning his first PGA Tour event since 2009, Tiger is going to thrive at Augusta.

His confidence is sky-high once again, and that does not bode well for the rest of the field.

He performed well at the Masters last year despite still struggling overall, but his slump is over, and it's his time to shine.

Tiger is back in the winning frame of mind, and he'll use the momentum of winning at Bay Hill to help propel him to a strong finish at Augusta.

Don't be surprised if Tiger gets a new green jacket when it's all said and done, but that, of course, will not be an easy task.

The lefty has been dominating the American spotlight of golf while Tiger was down in the dumps so to speak.

Having won the Masters three times since 2004, Mickelson knows he has what it takes to win at Augusta.

The competition may be intense, but Mickelson is poised and ready to win another green jacket.

Look for Mickelson to start slow but surge late on Saturday and Sunday to post another remarkable score.

He's not afraid of anyone, which makes him extremely dangerous.

Rory McIlroy

There may not be another golfer out there playing with such intensity and passion as McIlroy.

He might be young, but he's out there having fun and loving what he's doing, which makes him a threat.

Never underestimate a skilled player that enjoys life to the fullest, even when he isn't winning. He's one of the best golfers in the world right now, and he's going to excel at Augusta.

Sure, he flopped big time last year, but all that did was fuel him to be better.

Expect McIlroy to turn his game up a notch and impress the hell out of everyone once again.
