Donald Driver Dancing with the Stars: Packers WR Doing Well Despite Difficulties

Donald Driver was struggling with the difficult quickstep dance on Monday's Dancing With the Stars, but he overcame adversity to post a strong score. 

At one point in rehearsals, Driver told his partner Peta Murgatroyd, "I quit!" 

He fought through the hardship like any good athlete though and did a great rendition of the quickstep. 

Just watch this video and you can tell that Driver is really getting into his dancing. 

In addition to moving well and staying on beat, Driver also has to put on a show with each dance. He's doing a good job at that, which will help keep him around. 

Driver finished the night with a score of 24 from the judges. He got an apology from judge Len Goodman about his Cha-Cha dance on the premiere night. Goodman said he was sorry for "undermarking" Driver last week. 

Goodman went on to claim that Driver's performance was "up there with the best I’ve seen tonight," which definitely made the Green Bay Packers wideout feel good. 

He may be up there in age, but Driver is definitely giving it is all this competition, trying to represent the athletes well. 

With a total score of 45, Driver finished in seventh place for the night. However, when looking solely at the judges scores, only four of the 11 other contestants, Extra host Maria Menounos, Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins, Disney star Roshon Fagan and actor William Levy, posted a higher score than Driver. 

Still, he's got to get better love from the viewers at home. He should be safe for now, but as the competition moves on, the Packers Nation will have to step up and start voting for Driver much more. 

Hopefully Driver will gain some new fans along the way that will vote for him. If he keeps doing well then it shouldn't be a problem. Then again, you never can tell with these reality competition shows.
