Cincinnati Bengals Free Agency: Cincy Has Interest in Amobi Okoye and Matt Roth
The Cincinnati Bengals have addressed most of the glaring needs during this NFL free agency period. They have added much needed depth to the offensive and defensive lines, along with the cornerback position.
The trend of adding depth to the defensive line appears to continue as the Bengals have met with former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Matt Roth and have set up a visit with former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Amobi Okoye.
The moves makes sense as the Bengals are still trying to recover from the losses of Frostee Rucker and Jonathan Fanene. The team has recently signed defensive ends Derrick Harvey and Jamaal Anderson but in a system that utilizes a rotation, depth is of the utmost importance.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Roth suffered a concussion that limited his playing time last year, but he is an effective pass-rusher when healthy. He played in nine games last season and recorded 3.5 sacks as a linebacker in Jacksonville's 3-4 defense.
In Cincinnati Roth could rush from either the linebacker or defensive end position and is a great addition to an already deep rotation.
Okoye was a backup last season in Chicago, only starting one game. He notched four sacks over the course of the season. He's a solid pass-rusher in passing situations and could give Geno Atkins a rest.
The Bengals brought back the run-stuffing defensive tackle Pat Sims recently, but don't really have another pass-rushing threat from that position outside of Atkins, so bringing in Okoye would make a lot of sense.
The Bengals are clearly following a specific plan this offseason, and it makes sense. Adding Roth and Okoye to the defensive formula can only provide more quality depth and insurance in case of injury. The Bengals aren't quite done in free agency yet, and that's a good thing.
