New Orleans Saints Rumors: Saints Must Sign Bill Parcells to Win Super Bowl
With the year-long suspension of New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton for the involvement and knowledge of an illegal bounty system, the questions about who will take over a team on the cusp of a Super Bowl hang heavy on the Big Easy.
That’s where Bill Parcells comes in.
While most believed that someone from inside the organization would take the helm—someone like offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr., offensive line coach Aaron Kromer or defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo—the answer may be in Parcells, Payton’s old friend and teacher.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The two-time Super Bowl champion had plenty of time to refuel his jets and plenty of time to regain his mental edge and physical drive to be a coach again—at least for one final season.
NBC Pro Football Talk breaks down the news from Chris Mortensen about the coaching carousel in New Orleans:
"ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that Payton approached Parcells about being the interim head coach of the Saints for the 2012 season, in a move that would give the Saints a proven, Super Bowl-winning coach to lead them this year — but also a move that would bring in an outsider, and a coach who has said he’s burned out and doesn’t want to return to the sidelines.
"
While going outside of the organization with a tight-knit team like the Saints may be a bad idea in almost every other case, we’re talking about the Big Tuna here.
Parcells isn’t an outsider. He is the man that taught Payton everything he knows, and the team would run just as smoothly with the veteran behind the wheel. Payton trusts his subordinates, but Parcells knows what it takes to be the best.
Saints owner Tom Benson is the man that will ultimately hire the new coach in New Orleans, but to think that he isn’t getting all input from his coach and friend before his suspension starts on April 1 is naïve.
Drew Brees and the Saints can win the Super Bowl this season. With that much talent, this isn’t the time to take chances.
Signing Bill Parcells is the best move the team could make in order to ensure they make a legitimate run at a championship in 2012.
