WrestleMania 28: Does Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus Deserve Better?
One of the most overlooked matches at WrestleMania 28 is Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship. This match deserves better, especially because the title is on the line. The fact that it's barely an afterthought says so much about the state of affairs in sports entertainment today.
Well, at least there has been some build toward their match, while week in and week out, Daniel Bryan is becoming more intriguing as a heel champion. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Bryan walks away as champion. That's just it; this feud has possibilities, yet it comes across as an obligation to give this match air time because it involves the world title.

Daniel Bryan is one of the best in the world, period. Sheamus may not be in Bryan's league; however, it is his time to shine. Sheamus is ready for a third run as champion.
No matter what the outcome of this match is, it deserves the same hype as the other high-profile matches on the card. That's what WrestleMania is supposed to be about. Unfortunately, this match feels like it is an afterthought, a toss-away match used to kill time.
This match is a title match and should be given the respect afforded one. I'll admit neither Bryan or Sheamus have the same star power as other superstars performing at this event, but they have worked hard to get to where they are.
This time last year, they feuded over the U.S. Title and faced each other at WrestleMania 27 during the pre-show. The pre-show!
Now, almost a year later, they're involved in the world title picture. They have certainly come far. Here's another match where you have two workhorses that will definitely entertain us and quite possibly steal the show just like CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho.
Here's another case of a great match getting lost in the hype that is WrestleMania. With the amount of matches on the card, I wonder just how much time this one will be given. It certainly won't be given the main event spot.
Well, at least they get to perform at WrestleMania, which in itself is an honor. It's like being nominated for an Academy Award, but not actually winning it. Still, at the end of the day, this is a title match. WWE should remember that come April 1.
