Tiger Woods' Performance at Arnold Palmer Invitational Is More Proof He's Back

Justin WeltonJun 1, 2018

Tiger Woods is back.

Golf is about confidence and swagger—knowing exactly what you want to do with whatever shot, and believing in what you want to do with the ball whether that means spin, location or club selection.

Woods has that going for him in his game, and his play at the Arnold Palmer Invitational is proving that he's officially back.

Golf is extraordinarily boring to the average fan when Woods isn't on the course. It's not what golf fans want to hear but it's the absolute truth.

It's great seeing Woods play well again, and for the first time in a long time I have confidence in the direction Woods is heading. 2012 has been a year, so far, where Woods continues to improve his shot, confidence and play.

Woods has shot 11 under (par), 10 under (par) and eight under (par) in PGA events this season. His 11 under (par) has come in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a tournament he is winning heading into the final round, so that number will most likely change.

Could you imagine what a victory could do for his confidence? His play in the first three rounds is enough, but winning the tournament would skyrocket his confidence.

Golfers aren't afraid to go one-on-one with Tiger, but that could change with a victory.

Sunday is an important day for not only Tiger Woods, but for golf. Woods clinching this tournament would give him confidence heading into future tournaments and would give golf fans belief that he has a chance to win the Master's tournament.

Welcome back, Tiger. We have missed you.
