Grizzlies vs. Clippers: Los Angeles Aims to Snap 3-Game Losing Streak
The Los Angeles Clippers (26-21) return home after dropping all three games of their recent road trip and will now host the Memphis Grizzlies (25-20) on Saturday inside the Staples Center.
Las Vegas oddsmakers opened up the Clippers as 3.5-point home favorites, but that number has fallen by a point at most spots, while the total stands at 190.5.
Los Angeles has won the last three meetings between these two franchises, including a 98-91 win as 3.5-point home favorites on Jan. 26. Clippers point guard Chris Paul was the offensive catalyst in that victory, as he scored 18 points and dished out seven assists. Power forward Blake Griffin also chipped in with 20 points.
Sports bettors will find that the Clippers are 10-10 against the spread when playing as a home favorite of three points or less the last two-plus seasons.
Memphis has dropped four of its last six games and will be playing the third game of a four-game road trip against Western Conference opponents.
The Grizzlies have failed to cover their last five games, which includes a 97-93 defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers as one-point favorites on Thursday night.
Power forward Zach Randolph will need to up his production now that he's been on the court after recovering from a torn right MCL. In the four games since his return, he's averaging 15.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in 26.3 minutes.
I'm recommending a play on the "under." The Grizzlies have fallen below the total in 11 of 16 games as an underdog, while the Clippers have gone below the number in their last four Saturday games when favored by three points or less.
Pick: Under 190.5
