SEC Football: Tweets of the Week
Every Friday on The SEC Blog, we will feature the best SEC-related Tweets of the week.
Social media is all the rage these days. We've seen tweets break news, give insight into the lives of college football players, and in Marvin Austin's case, kick off major NCAA investigations. Luckily this week, there were no NCAA investigations out of social media, but there was some quality entertainment.
The NFL was certainly in the spotlight this week: the signing of Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow's trade and the Saints' punishment all grabbed headlines. LSU wide receiver Russell Shepard seems to already know Tebow's fate with the New York Jets.
If you haven't read about Georgia offensive lineman Watts Dantzler's ride home from spring break, please do.
The tweet wasn't necessarily funny, but the content sure is.
With many players on spring break the last few weeks, there has been a bevy of vacation-related tweets. One can only wonder what Auburn center Reese Dismukes saw on his way to spring break.
SEC Associate Director of Media Relations Chuck Dunlap shares my apprehension for expanding the college football postseason, and is never scared to fight the good fight.
And finally, Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel analyzes the NCAA basketball tournament in the best way possible...by comparing it to classic movies.
The answer is, of course, Average Joes' upset over Globo Gym. Nobody makes White Goodman bleed his own blood...except Peter La Fleur.
