Andrew Luck's Final Dress Rehearsal: Stanford's Pro Day
Though pro days are often downplayed, the media spotlight will shine too bright for Stanford's workout to be ignored or lessened.
Stanford's pro day marks the final step in Andrew Luck's lengthy vetting process for the No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL draft.
Like Baylor's Robert Griffin III, Luck chose not to throw at the NFL combine and will show off his arm today in front of NFL coaches and scouts. Barring a major (and unforeseen) setback during the proceedings, Luck will put the final touches on a successful college career and solidify himself as the top pick in the 2012 draft.
To be expected, Luck's star overshadows three other big-name Cardinals with major draft aspirations.
Tight end Coby Fleener, who caught 34 passes for 667 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2011, will be on display along with offensive linemen David DeCastro and Jonathan Martin.
There is a possibility that all three could join Luck as first-round draft picks, and if not, they'll be off the board by the end of the second round.
Also set to workout are Chris Owusu, Delano Howell, Griff Whalen and Michael Thomas.
Bleacher Report Deputy NFL Editor Dylan MacNamara is covering all the day’s action from Stanford's pro day. Stay tuned for up to the minute updates and late breaking news from Palo Alto.
