Saints Bounty: Sean Payton Confirms That Shockey Was Not the Snitch

Clint EilandJun 3, 2018

Former tight end Jeremy Shockey, who was accused of being the Saints bounty snitch, tweeted a pic today that is a conversation between him and Coach Payton, seemingly clearing him of Warren Sapp's accusation.

It is amazing how fast stuff spreads on the Internet.

Within minutes of Sapp's original tweet, there were people already either defending or attacking Shockey for being a snitch. They didn't even know if Shockey actually did anything.

Warren Sapp has always been known to talk, but this has taken it to a whole new level. Who else finds it ironic that while Sapp complains about snitches, he is actually being one himself?

Perhaps the worst part about all of this is the probable war of words that Shockey and Sapp will be sending to each other from now on. We could find ourselves in another Shaq-Kobe situation.

Don't believe me? It's already started. Going through Shockey's recent tweets, you stumble upon stuff like "I want to create drama and be on TV so people like me! Should I just make sh*t up?" — clear jabs at Sapp and his TV personality.

At this point, the best we can do is sit back and watch the fireworks.
