NBA Predictions: Indiana Pacers vs. Washington Wizards
The Indiana Pacers (26-18) snapped a two-game losing streak on Tuesday by capturing a 102-89 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers as 3.5-point home favorites, as they travel to take on the Washington Wizards (11-34) on Thursday night inside the Verizon Center.
This will be the first of three meetings between the two teams out of the Eastern Conference, with the Pacers winning three in a row and eight of the last 11 in the series.
Las Vegas oddsmakers have established the Pacers as 6.5-point road favorites, and the total has moved up to 200.
Indiana is currently 12-12 on the road this season and is shooting for its first winning mark away from home in eight years.
Sports bettors will find that the Pacers have covered the spread in 11 of their 12 road wins during the 2011-12 campaign.
Washington is coming off an impressive 108-89 win over the New Jersey Nets Wednesday night as 4.5-point underdogs that capped a 2-4 road trip.
The Wizards will be aiming to win consecutive games for the first time since Feb. 12-14, while looking to improve upon their 1-9 mark when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation.
Point guard John Wall had been tremendous since the All-Star break, averaging 20.5 points and 8.8 assists in a span of 11 games.
He managed to score 12 points and dish out eight assists versus the Nets in taking on Eastern Conference All-Star Deron Williams.
Bettors will likely back the Pacers due to their 7-2 against-the-spread (ATS) mark in the last nine meetings, while the Wizards are 2-9 ATS in their last nine home games.
