Baylor Pro Day 2012: Robert Griffin III's Workout Proves He's Can't Miss in NFL
The 2012 Baylor Pro Day was the biggest one in the school's history and that was because Robert Griffin III not only brought hype to the event, he proved that it was all for real.
In the 30-minute workout session, the Baylor star threw 51 impressive passes, most with accuracy, and looked calm in the process, according to a report from the Associated Press.
But it isn't only physical prowess that makes Griffin III ready to compete in the NFL; It's his maturity in handling the media circus.
In the post-workout press conference that was televised on NFL Network and other outlets, Griffin III answered questions cool and collected, easily navigating his way through the myriad of intricate and detailed questioning by the media.
There's no shortage of information when it comes to the draft.
RG3 hasn't had a misstep yet since he was thrust into the NFL spotlight as one of the top quarterbacks in college football.
Once he won the Heisman, he was a lock for the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft. If not for Andrew Luck, Griffin III would be the most coveted player of this draft by a long shot.
Mental toughness is one of the most important traits in the NFL because the physical aspect of the game can only get you so far.
Just ask Ryan Leaf.
The more I see Griffin III, the more it's clear he has everything it takes to be a great player in the NFL. The heavy price paid by the Washington Redskins might be the smartest move owner Daniel Snyder ever made.
