Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning: Why the Broncos Need Them in Denver

Peyton Manning is a Bronco—let the Tim Tebow watch begin.

Miami? Jacksonville? Buffalo? The CFL? Keeping up is like watching a bride-to-be with ADD make her registry list at Bloomingdale's.

So where the best place for young Tebow to land?

Denver.

Stop packing, Tim. You need Denver. The Broncos need you. Why?

1. Any place that is going to bring you in as a starter is going to be a work-in-progress. In other words, really (rhymes with kitty). If you're being honest with yourself, your skills are not going to mature under those circumstances.

2. Show me the doctor that signed off on a guarantee that Peyton Manning's neck is going to hold up for the next few years. Do you think Adam Weber, the team's third-stringer, is going to ever hoist a Super Bowl MVP award? Denver needs you to stick around.

3. Consider that it might be a good idea for you to sit behind someone will end up in the Hall of Fame one day. It might not be the road that strokes your ego, but there is precedent. Ever heard of Steve Young? Aaron Rodgers?

4. Is Denver really going to get anything it can really use in a trade? (This one is for John Elway, BTW.)

I know this is going to disappoint all those people who were going to get their thongs in a twist wondering what's next. But just because they want a soap opera doesn't mean one has to be provided.
