Brittney Griner Dunk Video: Watch Baylor Star's Incredible One-Handed Jam
Brittney Griner is a bad...
Well, you know.
Griner and the Baylor Lady Bears continued their perfect season on Tuesday with a win over the Florida Gators. It was never close, and Baylor went on to take it by the final of 76-57.
But that's not the story. The reason people are going to be talking about this game tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that is because of Griner's dunk in the second half.
If you missed it, here's a helpful hint: there's a video of it embedded above.
According to a report from the Associated Press, Griner is just the second woman to throw down a dunk in an NCAA tournament game. The first was Tennessee's Candace Parker, who dunked twice in the tournament back in 2006. Since Baylor is a lock for the women's Final Four, that record is in jeopardy.
Dunking is nothing new for Griner, mind you. This was the first dunk of her season, but she's now dunked a total of six times during her career at Baylor.
For the record, Griner averaged 23.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season. It suffices to say the Lady Bears would not have gone undefeated without her efforts—dunks or no dunks.
She's one of a kind, folks. There are undoubtedly quite a few men's college basketball teams that would love to have Griner doing work around the basket. She could probably even give Anthony Davis a run for his money.
Hey, just throwing it out there.
