10 Most Ridiculous World Football Tweets of the Week
Football can be a shocking sport for various reasons.
An upsetting incident, an amazing goal or a disgraceful comment from a fan can all cause equally strong reverberations across the world.
Occasionally, people on Twitter can do the same via the method of tweeting.
Whilst the comments you're about to read herein aren't all shocking, all of them are ridiculous.
I'll let you decide which are ridiculously good, bad or indifferent.
James Dall
1 of 11From an assistant editor for ESPNsoccernet, you might expect an insightful, well written verse or two on football.
Or you might just get this.
Joshua Jones
2 of 11In order to win a game of football, you have to apply pressure on the opposition's goal now and again.
@joshjones55 got disgruntled with Liverpool's efforts against Queens Park Rangers.
Jazz
3 of 11Serious or sarcastic?
Kieron Gibson
4 of 11Seems that @Kieron_Gibson is starting early.
My research indicates volume nine of the hit show Family Guy has a 384-minute run time, meaning Mr. Gibson better have gotten started yesterday!
BBC Sport
5 of 11@BBCSport released this shocking information that Bolton Wanderers player Fabrice Muamba was actually dead for 78 minutes before being resuscitated by paramedics.
It's something that is testament to the great jobs that people perform in the medical world.
It's almost ridiculous that the player is still alive.
BiGxGh.com
6 of 11Lionel Messi broke the all-time Barcelona scoring record this week after notching his 234th goal.
At the age of 24 and with probably another 10 years of playing left in him at least, that statistic is ridiculous in itself.
H/T to @bigxghdotcom for that one.
Raymondo Larney
7 of 11Erm probably!
Even Diego Maradona himself has stated Messi is as good as he was despite Messi yet to technically reach his peak age.
@relahni still thinks there's some Maradona lovers out there.
TEAMtalk Football
8 of 11@TEAMtalk shared this rather pointless bit of information with the world, courtesy of Steve Bruce.
Wolves are second from bottom in the Premier League with nine matches to go, and have the worst form in the league over the past six games.
#statingtheobvious.
Opta Sports
9 of 11@OptaJoe raised this interesting analysis of the recent decline in form at Tottenham Hotspur.
Perhaps Harry Redknapp has taken his eye off the ball so to speak.
The way in which Spurs have declined is what makes this so ridiculous.
James
10 of 11@inter_zone thought the same as I did upon seeing the Team GB football kit for the first time.
There hardly seems to be any room for eight pints of a lager and a half-time pie.
#notconsideredthetargetaudience
Ridiculously accurate by James.
Afterthoughts
11 of 11Well, everyone is entitled to a voice, and you may not want to hear mine as much as I want to hear certain other people's.
That's what makes the world so great—plus a bit of football never hurts.
