Tim Tebow: New York Jets Have a Real Interest in Denver Broncos Quarterback
Speculation that the New York Jets might be interested in Tim Tebow has some legs, according to Jenny Vrentas of the Star-Ledger.
"The Jets have "real" interest in Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, according to a person with knowledge of the team's thinking. That person requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak for the team.
"
Clearly, this has not been completely confirmed, but I'm sure something like this is a real possibility considering the Jets' history.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New York would love to bring Tebow in from a public relations standpoint. He has such a huge following because of his fans and the media. The Jets would benefit greatly from extra attention the former Florida Gators quarterback brings on his own.
On the other side of the coin, Tebow would fit nicely into the Jets offense as a specialty weapon. He could play the role once held by Brad Smith as a part of the Wildcat offense the Jets have been known for running.
And I wouldn't be surprised to see Tebow used as a running back as well. He could give a boost to a rushing attack that desperately needs some help.
Tebow would also be the Jets' insurance policy after starting quarterback Mark Sanchez lost some trust last season. Not to mention, Tebow would give Sanchez someone to compete against.
No, Tebow won't win the starting job out of camp because of Sanchez's contract extension, but he will have the Jets quarterback looking over his shoulder if things go wrong.
It's certainly an interesting prospect of having one of the most controversial figures in sports playing in New York. You know this city, and especially the Jets, won't shy away from it.
Besides, what the next best thing after the Jets failed to bring Peyton Manning to New York?
Tim Tebow, of course.
