NFL Rumors: Denver Broncos Having Tough Time Dealing Heroic Tim Tebow
What's the going rate on a hero of the people and a man that lifted a dying franchise? Well, it's not as much as you thought it was.
Tim Tebow has hit the market and you would expect a stampede for the Broncos superstar. Denver is reportedly shopping the Mile-High Messiah and all that could be heard is a gentle rumble as a few teams go through the motions of finding what Tebow will cost.
The Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows reports the San Francisco 49ers have said thanks, but no thanks to the player that moved mountains in 2011.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Step down from the ledge, 49ers fans. Quote from Jed York: "Tebow's not coming here."

ESPN ran a report that gauged the interest of teams looking at Tebow. The most interested were given a level of "medium probability" and include the Dolphins, Patriots, Texans, Jaguars and Packers.
Out of those, only the Jaguars seemed like a good fit for Tebow.
"Everyone sees the connection. He's a local guy. The Jaguars could use a ticket-sales boost. But owner Shad Khan would have to force Tebow on general manager Gene Smith.
"
Adam Schefter then had this intriguing tweet to consider.
"Three teams to monitor as trade talks for Tim Tebow pick up: Jacksonville, Green Bay, San Francisco.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 20, 2012"
As quickly as Schefter tweeted that, ESPN's Tim Kavanagh wrote the following in his Insider roundup and I am inclined to agree.
"Again, Green Bay does not seem to be a club likely to give up draft pick compensation for Tebow, but if the Broncos do release him, there's an argument to be made that he'd be worth a shot. It may not come to a release, of course, since it only takes one team to fall in love with the idea to make a trade happen.
"
As we chug along, it's clear that even a late pick has become far too much a price for some teams, leaving the Jaguars as really the only team wiling to pull off an actual trade with the Broncos.
The question remains what a franchise values in the incoming talent. Tebow never proved that he could command the offense as a pure pocket passer.
His next team has to either be content to change the offense to meet his needs as a run-heavy quarterback, or they need to be satisfied with him as fan favorite that will drive ticket sales.
Either way, the Broncos hero that saved the season is not getting nearly the kind of attention that you would expect a playoff game winner and the only player fans wanted to discuss last season.
