Fredy Guarin to Make Season Debut Against Juventus

Fredy Guarin is scheduled to make his debut with Inter on Saturday against rival Juventus, according to Corriere dello Sport via goal.com.

The Colombian midfielder, who is on a six-month loan from Portuguese club F.C. Porto, joined Inter in January but has been hampered by a calf injury that has prevented him from seeing any playing time with the Nerazzuri.

He is expected to be included in the match squad but is unlikely to start. Guarin will look to give the Giuseppe Meazza side a boost in the midfield that can help them stop a skid of one win in their last nine games. 

"I am happy and I feel good. I will soon return to action, I am nearly ready and I hope to be at the level expected by a club such as this one," he told Inter Channel, via goal.com.

Inter is currently in the sixth position in Serie A and will look for Guarin to give them more consistency in the midfield. A pairing of Wesley Sneijder and Fredy Guarin is just what Inter needs to get back in the race for the Seria A championship.

"I am here on a six-month loan, whether that is extended will be up to the club, but I am relaxed and all I can say is that I will give everything to show people what I can do," Guarin said.  

Guarin is a great defensive midfielder that can be just as effective while attacking and has a cannon for a leg. He was part of the Colombian trio, also including Radamel Falcao Garcia and James Rodriguez, that helped Porto win the domestic league and Europa League last year.
