Donald Driver: Packers Receiver an Instant Hit on Dancing with the Stars

Donald Driver put everyone on notice Monday night on Dancing with the Stars. He is in it to win it, and has the talent and charisma to pull it off. 

Another athlete goes up on stage and yet another athlete proves footwork is a very handy thing in dancing. 

Driver leaves his day job as star receiver of the Green Bay Packers and picks up the dancing shoes. After just one night, it's clear the transition is far more seamless for Driver than it was for most dancers on season 14 of Dancing with the Stars. 

Let's get one thing out of the way quickly. This season is going to be great for fans of the show, because the talent is among the best that has ever been displayed. 

It seems nearly every celebrity can move or has the determination and willingness to let loose. With that being said, Driver is still among the elite from day one. 

The judges were impressed with him and the crowd ate up his energy. The good news is that we should get to see Driver compete for most of the season because I don't see him going anywhere. 

After Monday's cha-cha, the judges had some minor tweaks but showed overall delight with Driver's performance, giving him and partner Peta Murgatroyd a score of 21. 

It's all uphill from there as Driver gets his legs under him and really starts to deliver dazzling dances. His wife Betina clued us all into what we will see from Driver over the 14th season. Via ABC News.

I think the nation will discover that he is a pretty good dancer. Yes, they know about his smile, his wit, but they're going to find out pretty quick that he's pretty good and dedicated.

The funny thing is, we get that. You could tell that Driver was having a great time competing and is taking this show as equal parts good time and hard work. 

That kind of charm rubs off on the millions that will eventually vote for him. 

This season is filled with capable dancers but Driver is among the best.
