ARCA Loses Series Title Sponsor RE/MAX For 2010

Toby ChristieSenior Analyst IJanuary 15, 2009

ARCA, going into 2010, has no title sponsor for its series.  For those of you who don't know what ARCA is, It's the Automobile Racing Club of America, and this is more important than you know.  If ARCA folds we will lose a series that opened in 1953, a series that has spawned such talent as Benny Parsons and Ken Schrader, just to name a few.

ARCA(not affiliated with NASCAR) has been a developmental feeder series for NASCAR, where many young guns go to gain more valuable experience.  Drivers such as Scott Speed, Casey Mears, and Sam Hornish Jr. have the series to thank for where they are at in the learning curve of open wheel to stock car.

Let's all hope that by 2010 ARCA can find a company who finds their series as a viable place to get their company out there, because motorsports can survive a few teams folding, but when major racing series such as ARCA can't make it, its not long before the other racing series can't make it.
