Philadelphia Flyers: Your Time Is Now!

Professor BushMar 19, 2012

The Philadelphia Flyers have four home games coming up starting tomorrow night.

The thrilling last-second victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins this weekend left the Flyers two points behind the Pens and three points behind the New York Rangers.

Both the Flyers and the Pens have gained a lot of ground on the Rangers in the last two weeks.

The Flyers have gone 8-1-1 in their last ten games while the Pens have gone 9-0-1.  The Pens have been lifted by the return of superstar Sidney Crosby and the Flyers have been led by the strong goal-tending of Ilya Bryzgalov.

If the Flyers are able to take all eight points in these next four games, they could well find themselves not only atop the Atlantic Division, but also sitting with the best record in the Eastern Conference.

This race will not be decided until the first week of April, when the season ends and the Flyers have one home game with the Rangers and two road games with the Pens.

Nonetheless, eight points in the next four games would position the team well for that last week of the season.

In order to pull this off, the Flyers offense will need to get off to a faster start than they have in the past two games.

And of course, Bryzgalov will need to continue his magic. But it can happen.

Let's Go Flyers!
