No.1 Overall Recruit Robert Nkemdiche: Is Clemson the School to Beat Now?
Last week, the nation's top overall player and prospect Robert Nkemdiche made an unofficial trip to Clemson. With the way prospects are taking numerous unofficial visits these days, no big deal right?
Wrong.
This was Nkemdiche's second trip to Clemson and the Tigers appear to be doing quite well with the big DL prospect. Are they the team to beat now in his recruitment?
Let's take a look.
Second Trip to Clemson
1 of 4This was Nkemdiche's second trip to Clemson and he seems to have enjoyed himself, again.
He wanted to take in a spring practice and see how the Tigers operate on the practice field. He's been to Clemson twice since March 3rd.
Swinney Recruiting Nkemdiche Hard
2 of 4"We're really getting close...we got to know each other even better this time." Nkemdiche told Scout.com in regards to Dabo Swinney.
Swinney is known to be a staunch recruiter and I have him as one of my up and coming dominant recruiting head coaches.
Nkemdiche even spent time with Swinney's wife and kids.
Good Vibe with the Tigers
3 of 4There's a good vibe going on between the Tigers and Nkemdiche. He seems to enjoy the feeling around the program and likes the coaching staff.
He spoke with much of the Clemson coaching staff, as Clemson has made him a priority of their 2013 recruiting efforts.
So Does This Mean Clemson Is the Leader?
4 of 4No, I wouldn't call Clemson the leader right now, but they are a school to watch in the Nkemdiche sweepstakes.
He currently has a top seven of Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson, Oregon, Texas, LSU and in-state Georgia.
I think Alabama could actually be the school to beat, but watch out for the Bulldogs, Rebels and of course Clemson.
