WWE News: Potential Plans for the Miz on Tonight's Episode of Raw

The Miz still doesn’t have a WrestleMania match, but that’s exactly what’s made him one of the most talked-about superstars in the WWE. 

The Internet has been abuzz about potential roles for The Miz at the biggest pay-per-view of the year, predicting that he could do anything from turn baby face to interfere in the match between The Rock and John Cena. 

On last week’s Raw, however, the creative team started a storyline where The Miz was campaigning for a spot on Team Laurinaitis. Although The Miz was given a chance to make the team and failed (by losing to Punk), it looks like he may get another opportunity tonight to find his way onto the interim Raw general manager’s squad.

There is talk of Miz having another match, where if he won, he would get on John Laurinaitis’ team at WrestleMania.

I’m a bit hesitant about wanting to see the WWE do this story with The Miz because it’s eerily similar to what’s been going on between Drew McIntyre and Teddy Long. McIntyre lost a bunch of matches and eventually made his way onto the Smackdown roster anyway, and it seems like the same could happen with The Miz. 

On the other hand, though, this could potentially be the start of something great for The Miz. 

Let’s say, for example, that The Miz faces someone (pick a superstar) on tonight’s Raw, loses, once again fails to make it onto Team Laurinaitis and winds up having nothing to do at WrestleMania 28. Then, Teddy Long’s team gets filled up, a superstar on that squad gets hurt and The Miz works his way onto the baby face team, or perhaps The Miz—pissed off that Laurinaitis didn’t pick him—interferes and helps Team Long beat Team Laurinaitis at WrestleMania. 

There you have it: A huge baby face turn for The Miz. 

This is something that many of us have speculated about for several months now (especially since The Miz’s losing streak started), and it would give The Miz something to do at WrestleMania while also giving him a much needed character refresh. 

What goes down on tonight’s Raw should give us a better indication of what may happen with The Miz on the grandest stage of them all.
